GeorgeKNOWLESPeacefully at Forth Valley Royal Hospital on 20th February 2026. George Smith Knowles, aged 96 years.

Dearly beloved husband of the late Isabel, much loved father of Suzanne and the late Lesley and George, adored papa and great papa of all the family.

Private burial followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at St. Ninians Old Parish Church on Thursday 12th March at 1.00pm, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited.

No flowers please, donations if desired to Strathcarron Hospice.

George Snr , a proud Scotsman,
Family man and a true legend in the Uk Furniture Trade .

Robert Morris and I have a lot to thank George Snr for , as he believed in us as 2 young ambitious men in our early 2Os and supported us through our journey as a Furniture Manufacturer.

That support was continued by George Jnr and latterly Dear Leslie and as Sterling Grew so did our Company .

We enjoyed so many good times with George Snr , Isabel and his Family and his team at Sterling and we will always treasure our many memories of this extraordinary man .

Our Deepest Sympathy and condolences to Suzanne & Family
the Knowles Family and the Sterling Team who have lost a Father Figure and Founder who put Sterling
(near Stirling ) on the map

We hope that Heaven has stocked up
On Glenmorangie for his arrival .
